  • Montserrat Geothermal – Third Well will be Drilled in early 2016

    Montserrat geothermal projects to move forward next year. Funded by the UK Department for International Development (DFID), a third geothermal well will be drilled in Montserrat. Following on the heels of two other wells that are each currently producing 1.5 MW of power, this new well hopes to bring Montserrat geothermal production to ~5 MW.

  • El Salvador Geothermal: Drilling Starts on Well for 10 MW Power Plant

  • Ormat closes $42 refinancing for Amatitlan Geothermal Plant in Guatemala

    Updates regarding the Amatitlan Geothermal Plant in Guatemala. In their second quarter results report, Ormat Technologies disclosed a $42 million loan agreement to refinance the Amatitlan geothermal plant in Guatemala with Banco Industrial S.A. and its affiliate Westrust Bank.
