  • South Korea to invest USD 36.6m in Nicaraguan PV plan

    South Korea will loan $33.3 million USD to the government of Nicaragua for the development of a solar project that will impact 164 communities. The government of Nicaragua will also invest $3.3 million USD in the project.  

  • Cayman Islands could go 100% renewable

    A legislator on the Cayman Islands is calling for the island’s government to establish a policy to hit 100% renewable energy by 2035. At present, the government has an established policy that calls for 13.5% renewables by 2030.

  • SunPower wins 500MW solar power projects in Mexico

    SunPower secured a PPA for a 500 MW solar project in Mexico in the recent renewable energy auction. This includes a 400 MW installation in Yucatan and a 100MW installation in Guanajuato.
