    The Dominican Institute of Telecommunications has launched a photovoltaic system with the assistance of the Ministry of the Environment and Natural Resources.   • A group of municipal and private stakeholders launched the largest distributed generation solar plant in Brazil’s northern region

    A partnership between the Manaus City Hall, local water and sewerage utility, Aguas de Manaus, solar developer, Expertise Energia, and Brasol launched a 2.55 MW distributed generation solar plant in the capital of the Brazilian State of Amazona.   • Ecopetrol SA is commissioning a 26 MW self-supplying solar project to power its oil fields in Colombia

  • Enel Green Power’s 256 MW Sao Goncalo III solar farm is officially in operation

    Enel Green Power launched operation of the 256 MW Sao Goncalo III solar farm in northeastern Brazil. The second expansion of the Sao Goncalo solar complex has brought the total operational capacity to 864 MW. The new facility cost a total of US$170.5 million. Source: Renewables Now

  • Grenergy completes development of a 240 MW solar power plant in Chile

    Spanish renewable energy company, Grenergy, finished development of a 240 MW solar power plant in central Chile. This is the largest solar plant the company has ever built. They expect it to be fully operational in a few weeks. Source: Enerdata
