    Ending a saga that started in 2007, El Salvador gained full control this week of LaGeo, “one of the largest geothermal companies in Central America. LaGeo was a joint venture between Enel Green Power and state-owned outfit Inversiones Energeticas S.A. de C.V.”

  • Montserrat Geothermal – Third Well will be Drilled in early 2016

    Montserrat geothermal projects to move forward next year. Funded by the UK Department for International Development (DFID), a third geothermal well will be drilled in Montserrat. Following on the heels of two other wells that are each currently producing 1.5 MW of power, this new well hopes to bring Montserrat geothermal production to ~5 MW.

  • Iceland Drilling Co awarded geothermal contract in Nicaragua
