Underscoring its support for the development of the LAC geothermal market, The World Bank recently announced that it would continue to support the Geothermal Congress for Latin America & the Caribbean as co-hosts of the event. Across the region, The World Bank is deeply engaged in the development of geothermal resources and is the largest multilateral lender to the sector. In LAC, the Bank has a strong presence in markets from Nicaragua and Chile to St. Lucia and Mexico.
