MPC Caribbean Clean Energy launches IPO

MPC Caribbean Clean Energy Ltd, a company investing in renewable energy projects in the Caribbean, is seeking to raise USD 50 million through an Initial Public Offering (IPO).

The Barbados-based company is selling Class B participating and voting shares, with stocks cross-listed in the Jamaica Stock Exchange, and the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange. The offering will be open from December 3rd to December 14th.

The company’s first seed projects include a 47MW solar PV park under construction in Jamaica, and a 21MW wind park in Costa Rica. Next steps will include investments totalling USD 499 million for a further 14 projects.
