German asset and investment manager MPC Capital AG has launched a subsidiary in Panama with the goal of expanding its renewable energy activities throughout the Caribbean Basin region. Based in Panama City, Fernando Zuniga will serve as regional director for MPC Renewables Panama SA for Central America and the Caribbean. Most recently, the German company has made transactions including the 172 MW Ancora wind project in Portugal, and the US$50m 33.1 MW Paradise Park solar PV project in Jamaica.
