The French government granted the island of Guadeloupe a license to explore for geothermal in the area of Vieux Habitants. The license will allow exploration through geological, geophysical and geochemical surveys to be conducted over the next five years. The first part of the study, which involves surface exploration, is expected to be finished by the end of 2016.
