Eletrobras, Latin America’s largest power company, recently announced new tech partnerships, including a project with Google Cloud to apply AI weather forecasting to its power plants and transmission assets. Using Google DeepMind’s WeatherNext model, the tool integrates satellite, radar, and station data to better predict climate events and guide operations, The solution was developed in collaboration with Eletrobras meteorologists over nine months. The company also announced plans to expand use of C3 AI’s Grid Intelligence solution for real-time monitoring and grid management.
