EDF has launched a pilot green hydrogen plant at its Norte Fluminense thermoelectric facility in Macaé, Brazil. The solar-powered plant will produce hydrogen for use in cooling the plant’s generators, improving efficiency and reducing costs. The project features an innovative energy management system monitored via blockchain and could potentially sell surplus hydrogen in the future.
