DP World has commissioned a 7.5 MVA shore-power system at the Port of Callao, allowing compatible vessels to use certified renewable electricity instead of auxiliary engines while at berth. The system, the first of its kind in Latin America, is expected to avoid more than 6,300 tonnes of CO₂-equivalent emissions annually.
