Nikita .L Mullings has made history as the first Bahamian and the first woman appointed as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Grand Bahama nikiteras consistently demonstrated excelendeni leadership, innovation, and service. In her previous role as Director of Customer Operations and
Stakeholder Relations, she led with unwavering resilience, guiding her team through the safe and efficient restoration of power following Hurricane Dorian-one of the most devastating hurricanes in recorded history.

Her academic foundation includes a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry and a Master’s degree in Environmental Studies. She has also earned executive certifications in Leadership, Ethics, and Corporate Accountability from Harvard Business School. With a strong background in energy and environmental sustainability, Nikita has served as an educator at both the University of The Bahamas and the Bahamas Institute of Business and Technology. Her commitment to environmental stewardship is further reflected in her work with Missouri’s environmental regulatory and compliance programs and her involvement in
the Heart 9/11 Apprentice Program, where she contributed to safety and skills education.

Beyond her professional achievements, Nikita is a passionate advocate for youth and women’s empowerment. She actively mentors young women through leadership and empowerment programs and supports her community through involvement in girls’ soccer initiatives. She has participated in numerous initiatives such as Women in Leadership, Owning Your Confidence, and various graduation and legacy-focused events, including speaking on Legacy and Future
at graduation ceremonies and offering motivational addresses at prefect installation events.

Her personal interests include playing soccer, fitness, and liturgical dance.

In recognition of her outstanding contributions to industry and community, Nikita was named a 2024 “40 Under 40″ honoree, celebrating her as one of the Bahamas’ most accomplished and influential young professionals. She is also a nominee for the Rising voices Award 2025, recognizing her excellence and positive impact in the Grand Bahama Community.
