Mrs. Gillian Charles-Gollop is Vice President, Corporate Services at the Caribbean Development Bank, where she provides strategic leadership for key corporate functions that support the Bank’s operational excellence and institutional effectiveness.
She has over 30 years’ experience in the banking and financial services sector with deep expertise in corporate banking, capital markets, corporate strategy, credit, governance & operational risk.
Prior to joining the Bank, she held a senior leadership role for the Corporate Banking segment of CIBC Caribbean, where she held regional responsibility for a corporate and sovereign credit portfolio exceeding US$6 billion and helped advance the institution’s sustainable finance agenda. Her career has included leading complex financing transactions, mergers and acquisitions advisory mandates, capital markets activity, and the financing of major infrastructure, utilities, renewable energy, and telecommunications projects across the region.
Gillian holds an MBA (Finance) from the University of Leicester and is an Associate of the Institute of Canadian Bankers. Her experience is complemented by formal governance accreditation through the Chartered Governance Institute of Canada and specialist certification in sustainability and climate risk from the Global Association of Risk Professional and is also a certified change management practitioner.
