Edgar Benitez is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Florida with over 17 yearsof experience in power generation and electrical engineering. As Senior ApplicationEngineering Manager at Saft America, he leads the Americas application engineering teamand technical proposal development for energy storage projects—both behind and in frontof the meter. His work supports the transition to cleaner, more resilient energy systemsthrough sustainable storage solutions and hybrid power technologies.Edgar brings extensive experience with diesel, gas, and renewable-integrated hybridsystems, including microgrids and battery energy storage, across the Americas. He hascontributed to the success of large-scale energy projects in both grid and mission-criticalapplications, helping clients reduce emissions, improve energy efficiency, and enhancereliability. He also holds advanced training in microgrid design, energy storage, and datacenter power systems.Edgar earned a Master of Science in Engineering Management and a Bachelor of Science inElectrical Engineering from Florida International University.
