Technical Sales Manager
Hello, I am David Lang, Technical Sales Manager at Siemens Energy for Sustainable EnergySystems, where we oversee the company’s electrolyzer business.
My professional journey began in 1999 in the construction industry, where I took on roles in procurement, project management, and sales. After earning my MBA in 2007, I moved into sales and gained experience across different industries. In 2014, I started my own manufacturing company, which I successfully ran until 2021 when I sold the manufacturing assets to focus solely on sales and explore new opportunities.
In 2021, I joined Siemens Energy, where I helped develop budget tools for bid management.This role gave me insight into Siemens Energy’s operations and introduced me to the innovative work of Sustainable Energy Systems in electrolysis for green hydrogen production—a key strategy for decarbonizing various industries. I am thrilled to contribute to the growth of the hydrogen production market with our customers in the Americas.
With a diverse background in sales, entrepreneurship, and project management, I focus on a consultative approach where, together with the customer, we set their desired goal and walk through how Siemens Energy can help them achieve these goals. It is not about selling a product but figuring out the best solution that enables goals to be achieved. My experience as a business owner has deepened my understanding of operational complexities and the importance of delivering quality products and services. I use these experiences to focus on the customer’s needs.
