Aidan Rogers

Aidan Rogers, an attorney-at-law, was called to the Barbados Bar in 2003 and possesses over 15 years’ experience in the Sustainable Energy sector. He is a past President of the Barbados Renewable Energy Sector and has been a vocal advocate for the development of the island’s Sustainable Energy policy, legislative and regulatory framework. He was an intervener in the Fair Trading Commission’s (FTC’s) consultation on the Renewable Energy Rider (RER) pilot programme in 2013 and 2016 and a member of the Government of Barbados’ National Sustainable Energy Task Force from 2015 to 2018. In 2016, he was nominated by the Government of Barbados to serve as the private sector and civil society representative for CARICOM’s Council of Trade and Economic Development (COTED) on the Executive Board of the Caribbean Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (CCREEE) where he served as the alternate representative for that post. He currently an advisory consultant to the Government of Barbados and several Independent Power Producers (IPP’s).
