María Camila Padilla is a highly experienced procurement specialist, bringing over 20 years of expertise in multilateral-financed public procurement. She currently serves as the Caribbean Procurement Coordinator for the World Bank, based in Barbados. Prior to this role, María Camila was the Procurement Coordinator for Central America and the Dominican Republic, based in Panama City.

In addition to her coordination duties, María Camila acts as the Private Sector Engagement Liaison for the Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) region, focusing on increasing private sector involvement in World Bank-financed projects. She joined the World Bank in 2020, following 14-year career at the InterAmerican Development Bank (IADB), where she worked as a Senior Procurement Specialist in both Barbados and Washington, DC, and contributed to procurement harmonization efforts across multiple multilateral development banks.

María Camila is a Colombian lawyer, having graduated from Andes University. She holds a Master’s Degree in Public Management for Governmental Entities, with a specialization in the Colombian public procurement system from Andes University in Bogotá. Additionally, she earned a Master’s Degree in International Legal Studies from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.
