Mrs. Eleanor Jones serves as a Member of the Generation Procurement Entity (GPE) in Jamaica. In this role, she contributes to the strategic oversight of the procurement of new electricity generation capacity, supporting Jamaica’s transition to a resilient and sustainable
energy sector.

Mrs Jones is an internationally recognized environmental risk management and sustainable development professional with more than 50 years’ experience in environmental planning, climate resilience, disaster risk reduction, and institutional governance. Mrs. Jones is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Environmental Solutions Limited (ESL) and has advised governments and international development organizations throughout the Caribbean and beyond. She was awarded the Order of Distinction (Officer Class) for her contributions to environmental management and civic development.

As a Member of the GPE, Mrs. Jones brings extensive expertise in environmental sustainability, governance, and strategic planning to support Jamaica’s renewable energy transition and long-term energy security.
