Project Engineer, Central Executing Unit
Colin Escalante is a licensed Professional Engineer with over a decade of experience leading the planning, procurement, and delivery of social and economic infrastructure projects across Belize. He currently serves as Project Engineer in the Central Executing Unit of the Ministry of Finance, where he acts as Project Engineer for several large-scale projects in the health and economic infrastructure sectors.
In addition, he is Project Manager for the World Bank-financed Belize Reliant and Resilient Energy System (BRRES) Project, deploying 45.1 MW / 180.4 MWh of battery energy storage systems on the national grid, and for the Saudi Fund for Development Belize Solar Plant Project, which includes 40 MW of utility-scale solar which shall be complemented with 20 MW / 80 MWh of battery storage.
Previously, he held senior project management and technical roles at the Ministry of Infrastructure Development and Housing and the Belize Social Investment Fund, managing various donor-financed portfolios. His experience spans the full project cycle, from design and procurement through contract administration, construction supervision, and team leadership, across a wide range of social and economic infrastructure projects.
