On September 17, healthcare leaders from across the Caribbean and internationally gathered in Miami for the inaugural KPMG Caribbean Healthcare Summit, CariHealth 2026.

Presented by New Energy Events and co-hosted by KPMG Islands Group, CariHealth brought together health ministers, hospital CEOs, investors, multilaterals, and operators. These are the people building and financing healthcare systems across the region.

The market realities are clear: hurricane seasons expose infrastructure gaps, pharmaceutical supply chains remain fragile, and digital health adoption is lagging. But the opportunity is real. Paths are being charted towards the delivery of effective universal health coverage, partners are working to address shortfalls in mental healthcare and equitable access, and efforts to build a more robust workforce are underway.
