Sandals Foundation
Executive Director
Heidi Clarke is the Executive Director of the Sandals Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Sandals Resorts International, dedicated to transforming Caribbean communities through education, community development, and environmental stewardship. She heads a dynamic regional team, working alongside Sandals and Beaches Resorts team members, guests, travel agents, corporate partners, and non-profit organizations to deliver impactful programs across nine islands.
Under her leadership, the Foundation has strengthened food security by building the capacity of farmers in climate-smart agriculture, expanded access to clean potable water in schools across the region, and launched community-based tourism and artisan programs that create sustainable income for local residents. From safeguarding marine ecosystems and advancing pediatric healthcare to empowering youth with job-ready skills and embedding environmental stewardship in schools, her team drives initiatives that create measurable, lasting impact.
Born and raised in Jamaica, Heidi earned a degree in Child Psychology and Education from the University of Miami. She remains deeply committed to youth mentorship, particularly supporting teenage girls affected by domestic violence, and continues to advocate for tourism as a powerful force for good.
Heidi serves on the boards of the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association Education Foundation, Nudge Caribbean, and the Culloden Early Childhood Institute, and is a certified Game Warden with Jamaica’s National Environment and Planning Agency.
Beyond her professional work, Heidi is a proud mother of two children who share her passion for service and commitment to making a difference.
