Chief Representative for the Andean Region, Central America and the Caribbean
Tamara D. Fathi is Chief Representative, Andean Region, Central America, and the Caribbean with Export Development Canada (EDC), based out of its Bogota office. Tamara has over 20 years of professional experience working in both the public and private sector. Since joining EDC in 2012, Tamara has experienced multiple roles across the organization in EDC’s risk management office, corporate and international lending, insurance and working capital solutions and most recently, sustainable business and enablement, where she managed a product innovation team. Tamara has studied and worked in Europe, Latin America, and the United States of America. She holds a Master of Arts in International Affairs from the Norman Patterson School of International Affairs and an MBA in Global Management from Thunderbird, School of Global Management. Tamara is passionate about combatting racism and antisemitism and in her personal time, has sat on numerous local and national boards in Canada, and various international committees, holding an array of leadership positions.
