Daniel González, Vice Minister of Energy and Mining of Argentina, has confirmed his participation at the inaugural Latin America Data Center Power & Infrastructure Summit (DCPI-LATAM 2026), taking place July 14-15 in Rio de Janeiro.
Vice Minister González will deliver a keynote session on Energy Reform and Large-Scale Investment Frameworks in Argentina, outlining the country’s investment framework, power market strategy, and approach to supporting large new loads.
His participation comes at a significant moment for Argentina’s investment agenda. In 2024, Argentina implemented RIGI, a large-scale investment framework that has already approved US$31 billion in projects, with an additional US$110 billion presented, according to figures shared by the Argentine government. More recently, Argentina’s Chamber of Deputies passed Super RIGI, a proposed framework targeted at emerging industries including AI, data centers, semiconductors, and digital infrastructure.
For data center operators and investors, the relevance is clear: power availability and investment certainty are increasingly determining where capacity gets built. As South America’s second-largest power market, Argentina is positioning itself as a serious contender in the region’s next phase of digital infrastructure growth.
DCPI-LATAM 2026 will convene the companies, policymakers, investors, and energy leaders shaping Latin America’s data center power and infrastructure market.
