Walmart Chile and Copec have inaugurated Chile’s first hydrogen refueling station for heavy-duty trucks at Walmart’s distribution center in Quilicura. Developed through a public-private partnership with support from Corfo, the facility will supply green hydrogen to a two-truck pilot operated by Marval Clean Logistics. The trucks are expected to begin regular deliveries across the Metropolitan Region, Valparaíso and Rancagua in October, testing hydrogen-powered freight transport as an alternative to fossil fuels.
