Wärtsilä has signed an agreement with WEB Aruba to develop a 35 MW/70 MWh battery energy storage system, marking the company’s largest storage project in the Caribbean to date. Scheduled for delivery in the second quarter of 2028, the project will integrate with Aruba’s existing solar, wind and conventional power generation assets. The agreement includes engineering, procurement, construction, energy management software and long-term maintenance services to improve grid reliability, optimize power generation and support greater renewable energy integration.
