Argentina’s AlmaSADI BESS tender draws 8.2 GW of bids for 700 MW procurement

Argentina’s AlmaSADI battery storage tender has attracted 232 bids totaling more than 8.2 GW of capacity, far exceeding the 700 MW procurement target and highlighting strong market interest in energy storage. Industry experts expect intense competition to drive prices below the government’s maximum cap of US$12,500/MW-month, potentially reaching around US$10,000/MW-month. The tender is expected to mobilize at least US$700 million in investment, with official awards scheduled for July 8.
