The Costa Rica Institute of Technology has launched the country’s first experimental agrivoltaic system at its San Carlos campus, combining small-scale solar generation with agricultural production on the same land. The 3 kWp pilot project uses both elevated solar panels and vertical bifacial modules to test how crops and electricity generation can coexist under tropical conditions.
