Spanish renewable energy company RIC Energy is developing seven battery energy storage system (BESS) projects in Chile, totaling 210 MW with four-hour storage capacity. Two projects, Santa Remedios MC and Santa Amelia TU, have already secured access and connection permits, linking to substations in the Libertador General Bernardo O’Higgins region.
