Germany’s Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK), in collaboration with the German International Cooperation Society (GIZ) and Austria-based RP Global, has launched a partnership in Argentina to develop green hydrogen and green ammonia projects. These initiatives will target both domestic use and exports to Europe, particularly Germany. The partnership includes studies on the hydrogen production chain, biodiversity, water resources in the Santa Cruz region, and regulatory frameworks in Argentina, as well as capacity-building efforts. The project will support the “Gaucho Wind to Hydrogen & Green Ammonia” initiative in southern Argentina.
