Ohmium International and H2 Green Mining have teamed up to develop green hydrogen projects aimed at reducing carbon emissions in mining operations in Chile. Together, they plan to develop a 20 MW green hydrogen pilot project in Northern Chile’s Atacama Desert, specifically in Calama. This project, with potential to scale up to 200 MW, will utilize Ohmium’s electrolyzers to produce hydrogen for copper smelting and other thermal processes in the mines, potentially also powering trucks transporting minerals to the nearby port in Mejillones.
