Uruguay begins construction of 100 MWp Melo solar park, its largest PV project to date

Uruguay has officially begun construction of the 100 MWp Melo Photovoltaic Solar Park in Cerro Largo, which will become the country’s largest solar facility once operational in 2028. The project, backed by more than US$75 million in investment and developed by the Teyma-Prodiel consortium, is expected to supply electricity to around 65,000 users.
