  • Nicaragua and China begin construction of US$80 million El Hato solar plant

    Construction has officially begun on the 67.35 MW El Hato photovoltaic plant in Ciudad Darío, Matagalpa, Nicaragua. The project is a collaboration between Nicaragua’s Ministry of Energy and Mines and the Chinese state-owned company China Communications Country Limited (CCCC), involving an estimated investment of US$80 million.     Chile inaugurated the 241 MWp Gran Teno photovoltaic plant in the Maule region, the largest installation in the south of the country.
