  • Caricom and Cuba to discuss energy projects

    A delegation from Caricom will travel to Cuba to assess renewable energy opportunities. Devon Gardner said that the plan is to discuss initiatives such as producing biogas. Dr. Gardner said that the delegation will be led by Assistant Secretary General for Trade and Economic Integration, Joseph Cox.

  • Peru’s current installed wind capacity is 1% of total potential

    This week Peru’s Ministry of Energy reported that the country’s 339.15 MW of wind is only 1% of its total potential wind capacity. At this time, there are four wind farms in Peru, three of which went live in 2014. The largest of these farms, Tres Hermanas, was turned on last month.
