  • Saint Lucia Electricity Services plans 10 MW solar project with battery energy storage

    Saint Lucia Electricity Services (LUCELEC) plans to tender a 10 MW solar project with battery energy storage later this year. The project, which will be the island’s second industrial-scale solar initiative, includes 10 MW of solar power and an energy storage system with 13 MW capacity using two-hour lithium-ion batteries.   • Acciona Energía launches 162.6 MWp Cotoperí Solar Complex in La Romana, Dominican Republic

    Acciona Energía has launched the 162.6-MWp Cotoperí Solar complex in La Romana, Dominican Republic. The facility, consisting of three solar farms, will generate 286 GWh of electricity annually, enough to power around 166,000 households.   • MPC Capital sells stake in Jamaica’s largest solar plant to InterEnergy Group

    MPC Capital has completed the sale of its 34.4% stake in Paradise Park, Jamaica’s largest solar photovoltaic plant (51 MWp), to InterEnergy Group for $5.9 million.
