  • The Dominican Republic’s Ministry of Mines and Energy signs three PPA’s for 128 MW of solar and biomass projects

    The Dominican Republic’s Ministry of Mines and Energy signed three PPA’s for 128 MW for two solar parks with a combined capacity of 93 MW and one biomass-based project of 35 MW. The overall investment for the plants will be $197 million. Source: Renewables Now

  • Wigton Windfarm Limited acquires 21% stake in Flash Motors Company Limited

    Wigton Windfarm Limited, the energy facility in Jamaica, acquired a 21% stake in Flash, a holding company registered in St. Lucia. The deal also grants them an equivalent share in Flash’s wholly-owned subsidiary Flash Motors Company Limited. Flash Motors plans to sell electric vehicles in Jamaica, Trinidad & Tobago, and Guyana.  Source: Jamaica Gleaner 

  • CAF announces shareholder approval for a capital increase of USD 7 billion

  • Bermuda introduces 30 electric buses to the island

    Bermuda received 30 new electric buses along with the installation of an Electric Bus Charging Facility at the Department of Public Transportation’s Fort Langton, Devonshire Facility. There will be temporary charging stations in place throughout the island as the country shifts towards an electric charging infrastructure. Source: Bernews

  • Barbados adds 14 electric buses to their fleet

    The Barbados Transport Board received 14 additional electric buses, bringing the total to 49. The new additions comprise part of the initial $42 million deployed to procure electric buses and build out associated infrastructure.
