    Brazil’s Ministry of Mines and Energy released guidelines for new energy auctions in September. The auctions will award energy purchase agreements (PPA) for hydrogen, wind, PV energy, energy from city waste, biomass, biogas, coal, and gasoline with terms of 15 years for wind and PV and 20 years for other sources.   • AES and BRF sign agreement to construct the Cajuina wind complex in Brazil

    AES signed an agreement with BRF, the Brazilian food giant, for a joint venture to construct a 160MW wind project in Brazil. The wind project, the Cajuina wind complex, located in Rio Grande do Norte, is scheduled to start operations in 2024. The complex will supply BRF with energy through a 15-year PPA.
