Pátria’s data center platform Omnia, Casa dos Ventos, and TikTok owner ByteDance plan to invest over US$9.8 billion in a 200 MW data center in Pecém, Ceará, set to begin construction in 2025 and start operations in 2027. ByteDance will provide US$7–8 billion for IT equipment, Omnia will invest US$2 billion in infrastructure, and Casa dos Ventos will supply around 300 MW of renewable energy through new wind and solar farms. The project, designed to minimize water use with a closed-loop system, aims to position Pecém as a major global data center hub leveraging tax incentives, abundant renewable energy, port access, and proximity to undersea cables.
