Three new solar projects announced in US Virgin Islands

The U.S. Virgin Islands launched three new solar projects last week. Former U.S. President Bill Clinton headed the proceedings, joined by Bloomberg co-founder Tom Secunda and officials from Expedia Group. The solar panels, batteries, and installation provided are being funded by Expedia Group as a commitment of the Clinton Global Initiative, in partnership with Bloomberg Philanthropies. The three sites includ The Family Resource Center on St. Thomas, and the Gifft Hill School and St. John Christian Academy on St. John.

USVI Governor, Kenneth Mapp, is working with the group to locate a fourth solar site on St. Criox.
