California-based renewable energy company SolarMax will provide full engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services for a total of 400 MWh of battery energy storage systems (BESS) in Puerto Rico. The projects, located in Humacao and Ceiba, will have a combined storage capacity of 400 MWh, and SolarMax will also acquire a 9% stake in each project entity, strengthening its position in the industrial energy storage market through at least 2027.
