Five St. Lucian entrepreneurs will receive an energy-efficiency boost this year.
The Ministry of Sustainable Development, Energy, Science and Technology of St. Lucia has selected five entrepreneurs to receive solar dryers. These oven-dryers will help the business-owners to cut down on energy use by harnessing heat from the sun.

The governments of Taiwan and China have also provided funding for fifty St. Lucians to receive training on how to construct and use solar drying technology. Funding was provided through the Sustainable Energy from Concept to Energy Plan program.
