Austrian renewables developer RP Global plans to install 3 GW of electrolysis capacity as part of the first stage of its “Gaucho Wind to Hydrogen and Green Ammonia” project in Argentina. The electrolysers, powered by a 4.2 GW wind farm in Patagonia, will produce up to 1.7 million tons of green ammonia annually, primarily for export to Europe.
