The Puerto Rico Energy Bureau has approved a proposal from Tesla, Sunrun, and SunStrong to automatically enroll customers in a residential battery aggregation program designed to support emergency grid capacity. The initiative, known as the Customer Battery Energy Sharing program, allows distributed home batteries to be used as a coordinated backup resource for the grid.
