Peru eyes investment of US$12.5 billion in green hydrogen projects

Peru’s Minister of Energy and Mines, Rómulo Mucho, announced that companies are eyeing investments exceeding US$12.5 billion to establish green hydrogen plants in the Andean country. He highlighted South African company Phelan Green Energy’s plan to invest US$2.5 billion in Arequipa, with discussions ongoing for governmental and local support.
