Peru has approved the environmental impact study for the 175.2 MW Windica hybrid renewable energy project in the Ica region, combining 150 MW of wind capacity with nearly 30 MWp of solar generation. Backed by a planned investment of US$261.5 million, the project will connect to the national grid through a new 220 kV transmission line and is expected to operate for 30 years.
