Peru approves environmental impact study for 250 MW Tierra Blanca solar project

Peru’s 250 MW Tierra Blanca solar project has received approval of its Environmental Impact Statement from the Ministry of Energy and Mines, clearing a key regulatory milestone. Developed by a joint venture between Germany’s Viridi and Blaud Energy, the US$375 million project is located in Ica and includes a solar plant and a 220 kV transmission line, with strict environmental compliance required throughout construction, operation, and closure.
