Peru has granted final approval for the 323 MW Ruta del Sol solar project in Moquegua, allowing RDS Solar to proceed with construction of one of the country’s largest photovoltaic plants. The US$318 million project is expected to generate around 1,020 GWh annually and will include extensive infrastructure, including a transmission line and substation connection to the national grid.
