Paraguay presents national green hydrogen strategy at H2LAC

During the 5th Hydrogen Congress for Latin America and the Caribbean (H2LAC) in São Paulo, Paraguay’s Deputy Minister of Mines and Energy, Mauricio Bejarano, presented the National Strategy for the Green Hydrogen Economy. The roadmap outlines Paraguay’s plans to position itself in the green hydrogen industry, with a goal of reaching 1 GW in electrolysis capacity by 2030. The strategy focuses on six key pillars: green hydrogen production, renewable energy generation, responsible water use, infrastructure and logistics development, hydrogen applications, and cross-cutting elements like regulation, capacity building, and governance.
