A memorandum of understanding has been signed by IDB Invest, DUE Capital and Services, BBVA, Bonus Gestión de Activos, and FDN to support the development of two solar projects in Colombia’s Amazon region. The Centenario and Matakavi solar plants, which will include battery storage, aim to provide 24/7 clean energy to local communities, reduce reliance on diesel generators, and lower greenhouse gas emissions, with a total investment of US$40 million, including US$4 million from IDB Invest.
