Mexico plans to develop electrolyzers locally to boost hydrogen in the region

The National Institute of Electricity and Clean Energy (INEEL) announced it is turning to hydrogen generation as a priority of the their clean energy transition to promote this type of technology in the country. INEEL is particularly interested in the application of hydrogen to generate electricity. Currently, they are focused on a project with the support of Council of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Energy, which has the objective of developing low-cost technology for energy storage electrical through electrochemical systems to H2.
