McDonald’s has signed a 12-year agreement with EDP who will supply renewable energy from the Solar Novo Oriente plant in São Paulo, powering 156 restaurants across six Brazilian states. The partnership, involving 38 franchisees, will generate over 61 GWh annually — enough to avoid 3,000 tons of CO₂ emissions per year.
